Delta Gamma Gown
When hubby and I were first married, my oldest daughter started collage. She was accepted into the Delta Gamma Sorority.
All the young women were required to wear a white gown for their induction service.
We couldn't afford any nice gown, so DH said he would sew one.
He did! And it turned out lovely.
DH is the youngest of six children and the only male.
His mother sewed all of the sisters prom dresses and even a couple of wedding dresses.
He learned from the cradle...how to follow a pattern and use a sewing machine.
Not his favorite activity but he did a mighty fine job.
I found this photo this week while scanning from old photobooks.
If I come across a photo of the dress, I'll scrap it or post it.
