If you have ever tried to add text on top of a patterned paper, you'll notice that often the text is not as readable as you might like.
Here's a simple remedy:
1. Open a patterned paper from your stash.
I used a paper from LeaUgoScrap's kit, Let's Go To The Park
2. Add some text. I used the red color from the paper and you can see it gets lost in the pattern.
3. On a new layer under the text, draw a rectangle with your marquee tool around the text.
4. Fill it with white and then lower the opacity until you get the result you want.
On a new layer under the text, take a soft brush slightly larger than your text and brush across the text.
Lower the opacity until you get the result you want.
This method is better suited for journaling or when you don't want a boxed look.
