Art Journal Challenge #8: Framing Words

  • Quote

Mon Feb 23, 2015 9:28 am

This week we're playing with words. Using a single word or a quote can make a very effective layout conveying emotion and feeling. We're all quite used to doing this BUT what about making it the central part of your layout? Making the words large and bold and then framing them with whatever fits your theme can be very striking. It could be multiple frames, doodles, elements - anything that make your words shine as the focus of your page.

YOUR CHALLENGE
Use words as the focus of your layout and frame them in a way that makes them 'speak'.

DUE DATE: Mar 1

GALLERY: Art Journal Challenge Gallery
Please use appropriate credits for any products you use.

REWARD: The joy of trying something new.

Feel free to discuss the assignment for the week or ask any questions in this thread.

Here is this weeks page. Work is a nightmare and this is what I want to do. Right now the end of May (my target date to quit) feels like it is so far away.

I don't do many art journaling pages but I gave this one a try. Not sure that I got it right...but I tried!

Thanks for your fabulous layouts this week ladies. My apologies for commenting so late on them - real life was extremely busy last week.
